Oksana Levytska has been involved in the projects and activities of a number of Ukrainian community organizations, with a major focus on education. As Chair of the UNF Canada Ukrainian School Initiatives Committee since 2010, she has worked tirelessly on reviving and supporting UNF Ridni Shkoly across Canada and their educators, and providing support to newly established heritage (Ukrainian language) schools. As Chair of the UCC National Ukrainian Education Council and the International Educational Coordinating Council of the Ukrainian World Congress, she has organized teachers' conferences, workshops, and webinars across Canada and internationally. At the local level, as Vice President of UCSB, Ms. Levytska has taken leading roles in the professional development group and has successfully launched the Leadership Speakers Series for high school students, in cooperation with the local TV youth program.
Ms. Levytska also participates in provincial, national and international forums on education and regularly writes on the subject for periodicals in Canada and Ukraine. She currently works as a guidance counsellor with the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and is Principal of the Ukrainian Saturday School Ridna Shkola.
