Yurko (George) Horhota is an entrepreneur, board director and former C-suite executive with a passion for leading growth and change, proudly serving as a Director and Board Chair of Ivan Franko Homes (IFH) since 2012 and Chair of its Building Committee for the past six years. Ivan Franko Homes, established in 1957, is a not-for-profit provider of seniors' accommodations, care and support programs in the Ukrainian community, operating an independent and assisted living residence in Mississauga and a long-term care home in Toronto (Etobicoke).

Mr. Horhota is passionate about 'paying back' to our Ukrainian seniors for their lifetime contributions to the community. He is proud of attracting a high-performance IFH Board and mentoring its transformative senior management team, as they create a new Centre for Aging and Longevity for 160 seniors, which is currently under construction in Mississauga. Mr. Horhota is a long-term volunteer, he was chair of the IFH Family Council, director of the So-Use Credit Union Limited for 5 years and a director of the St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre for 2 years. Currently he consults to the St. Volodymyr Institute on the re-development plans for their Spadina property.
